Oral and maxillofacial surgeons are one of the highest paid in the U.S and Canada, according to the respective countries' Bureau of Labor Statistics. These dental surgeons earn an average annual salary greater than $166.000 in the U.S., and $145.000 in Canada. Orthodontists are not far behind with a median annual salary of $101.000 in Canada. General dentists will aproximatly earn $97.000 annually in Canada.
2. Responsible for the electric chair

Southwick came to the conclusion that death by electrocution was a more humane death than beheading or suffocation. For a decade, he promoted this idea, which was to be legalized in January 1889.
