GIE PureZi
Not all zirconia is equal. PureZi is our full-contour monolithic build, milled from ArgenZ HT+ ML multilayer zirconia — high strength and high translucency in one disc, indicated from single posterior crowns to full-arch frameworks. CeraZi adds hand-applied ceramic over a zirconia core for the incisal character premium anterior cases demand.
GIE CeraZi
CeraZi starts with a multi-layer pre-shaded zirconia coping that already has body-to-incisal color gradation built in — then our ceramists hand-apply and fire Ivoclar ceramic in the incisal third. The result is a crown with the strength of zirconia in the substructure and the optical character of layered ceramic at the incisal edge.
It's our most-requested build for anterior full-coverage cases where the patient has high cosmetic expectations but the case doesn't warrant full e.max work.

Milled from ArgenZ HT+ ML
Every PureZi restoration is milled from ArgenZ HT+ ML — a High-Translucency-Plus multilayer disc manufactured entirely in the USA at Argen's San Diego facility, and formulated with 100% premium Tosoh zirconia powder, the global gold standard for dental zirconia.
What sets it apart is that it holds 1,250 MPa of flexural strength across the entire disc while keeping 45% translucency — the incisal edge never drops to the weaker cubic phase that most multilayer discs rely on for translucency. That means one material covers everything from single posterior crowns to full-arch roundhouse frameworks.

When should I prescribe PureZi vs. CeraZi?
PureZi is our full-contour monolithic zirconia, milled from ArgenZ HT+ ML — the right call for posterior crowns, long-span bridges, implant frameworks, and patients with heavy function or bruxism. CeraZi adds hand-layered ceramic over a zirconia core for the incisal depth demanding anterior cases need. The simple rule: choose PureZi when strength leads, CeraZi when anterior esthetics lead.
Is monolithic zirconia strong enough for posterior crowns and bruxers?
Yes. PureZi is milled from ArgenZ HT+ ML, which holds 1,250 MPa of flexural strength across the entire disc — including the translucent incisal layer, which never drops to the weaker cubic phase most multilayer discs rely on. That makes it well suited to molar crowns, multi-unit bridges, and parafunction. For ceramic restorations in confirmed bruxers, we recommend pairing the case with a nightguard.
How do I cement a zirconia crown?
Zirconia takes both conventional and adhesive cementation. For most retentive preps our doctors use an RMGI such as 3M RelyX, and that's a reliable default. For shorter or less-retentive preps, an adhesive protocol with a resin cement and a 10-MDP primer after intaglio particle abrasion improves the bond. We have your models, so we'll flag any prep where we'd suggest the adhesive route.
How much reduction does a zirconia crown need?
Monolithic zirconia allows a relatively conservative preparation — we recommend a minimum of 1.5 mm of occlusal clearance, with 2.0 mm preferred, and a 0.5 mm chamfer or rounded-shoulder margin. If you're tight on interocclusal space, send the case details and we'll review the reduction with you before fabrication.
Can I send a digital scan instead of an impression?
Yes — we're a fully digital lab. Upload STL or PLY files from any major intraoral scanner through our digital cases page and we mill directly from your scan, with no model or shipping delay. Conventional impressions are also accepted. See our turnaround times for current scheduling.
